Calico Rock Hospital Auxiliary

A non-profit group dedicated to increasing community awareness and
involvement in the
Community Medical Center of Izard County and fund
raising for hospital projects.  The auxiliary also supports medical clinics
throughout the system in the county.

Anyone can be a member and new members are welcome.  Dues are $4
per year and meetings are held monthly from September to May on the
first Monday of every month at the Home Health Center in Calico Rock.
It all happened on

Community Recycling Center

Recycling Bins are located behind the Calico Rock Elementary.

Recyclable Materials:
Aluminum Cans, Steel Cans, Glass Bottles, Plastic Containers, White Paper,
Newspaper, Pasteboard and Cardboard Boxes.

Recycling Guidelines
1. Bag by type and place in proper bin.
2. Cardboard boxes must be flattened
and placed in  wire bin.
3. Styrofoam and shredded
paper cannot be accepted.

20/20 Group

The 20/20 Group was started in April 2004 based on a desire by private
citizens, businesses and other groups
to support and promote efforts that preserve, restore and value the unique
culture, history, natural beauty and
charm of Calico Rock and the surrounding region.

Our Mission
Appreciating and celebrating the past
to enhance the present and
enrich the future.

The group meets monthly at the Community Room next to City Hall, usually
on the fourth Tuesday of the month.  All members of the community are
welcomed and encouraged to attend meetings.

Calico Rock Ministerial Alliance

The Calico Rock Ministerial Alliance brings together pastors
and clergy from the various faiths within the community to
provide a ministry for the people of this area.  The alliance
sponsors the annual community revival and assists with
community planning.

CORE
Calico Rock Organization for Revitalization Effort

CORE is a group of concerned citizens working on projects to revitalize the
economy of our town by efforts to present a welcoming front door on Main
Street and throughout the community.

Calico Rock Old Town Walking Bridge
Just off Main Street, and behind Peppersauce Alley, you
will find this picturesque bridge spanning the Calico
Creek.  It's not hard to picture people walking across,
