Day 1;
Sleep in and let all your troubles snooze away! Take a long guided Boat
ride on the beautiful White River and see many types of river wildlife
including, on occasion, the magnificent American Bald Eagle.
Day 2:
Enjoy shopping for antiques and wares on historic Main street and
other nice shops in Calico Rock just up Hwy 56. It is easy to find
Antiques and other exceptional bargains in the most unique places.
Finish up the day with a lovely dinner in one of our fabulous local
restaurants in the area.
Day 3:
Then, make your way to Mountain View for shopping, touring the
Arkansas Craft Guild, or learning about craft making at the Ozark Folk
Center. There are also many Local artists who have studios in the
area and could arrange a private tour just for you and your family.
Public tours are in the fall with the Off the Beaten Path Studio tours
offered at end of September each year.
Stop by Tommy’s Famous Pizza for award winning pizza, ribs and BBQ.
At night, enjoy the Folk music performed around the square or one of
the shows at Cash’s White River Hoedown
Day 4:
Mountain Home is a short drive north on scenic Hwy. 5 and has
become quite the spot for shopping.
Day 5:
Any day is a good day for a Massage and you can get a great one right
here in the middle of the Ozarks.
Day 6:
Saturday is a great day for a drive in the Ozark National Forest with
many small towns tucked into the mountain. By the evening you can
make it back to Calico Rock .

Get up early to see the sun rise over the Ozark Mountains
from the bluffs overlooking the White River. After a hearty
breakfast at one of our fine restaurants, make your way to
the river for a day of fishing for the next World Record
Brown Trout or enjoy catching your limit of Rainbows. Plan
to have your fishing guides cook your catch along the
banks of our world-famous river!Day 2
Adventure and the call of the open trail is today’s mantra!
Make your way across the river into the Ozark National
Forest for a day of Mountain Biking along the Syllamo
Mountain Biking Trails (Download Trail Map) or go four-
wheeling on Culp Road. or Hiking in the Ozark National
Forest. Pack a picnic and make a day of it. Or If Horses are
your favorite idea of a trail ride, then just up Hwy 14 toward
Fifty Six, AR is an Outfitter for that too. The trails are great
with horses for any skill level.
Day 3:
After a day on the trails, Plan a on touring the world-famous
Blanchard Springs Caverns followed by an evening at one
of our great restaurants or cookout at King City or Rand
City park, both of which have great walking trails.
Day 4:
A day at the lake! Rent a ski boat or jet ski and enjoy the
day. Or, visit our sister city along the White River at Norfork
and enjoy a breathtaking view of the forest and river along
the way.
Day 5:
Kayaking/Canoeing. Arrange a kayaking/canoeing tour of
the White River or make your way up to the Buffalo National
River
Day 6:
A walk around Historic Calico Rock and you can almost
hear the old timers sitting out on the porches discussing the
fishing and weather. With Ladies in the Old Beauty Parlor
and the girl talk…with the hum of the old mill in the
background.
